From Banned Book to Feature Film:

BLESS ME, ULTIMA by Rudolfo Anaya was banned in Tucson, Arizona.

It is now a film that will be released nation-wide.

Nation-wide release of the film version of the classic novel:

Bless Me, Ultima. Check www.blessmeultima.com for cities.

The Librotraficantes were blessed to bless Bless Me, Ultima with a special Taste-maker screening of the movie adaptation of the classic novel.

We encourage folks to spread the word via social media, and word of mouth in time for the nation-wide release.

Okay, it's silly to debate if books are better than movies. There's no contest.  But we have to be fair. It's way easier to smuggle Bless Me, Ultima as a movie than it was to smuggle the original novel during the 2012 Librotraficante Caravan to Smuggle Banned Books Back to Arizona. So here you have it:

Top 10 Reasons it's easier to Smuggle BLESS ME, ULTIMA as a film instead of a novel.

10. Hard for 300 people to read from one copy of Bless Me, Ultima at once.

9. Few paper cuts.

8. Books are heavy.

7. You can view the film version in 90 mins. Takes days to read the novel.

6. Taking someone on a date to read a book is still harder then taking them to see Bless Me, Ultima.

5. Reading the book and viewing the film gives you sexier brains.

4. Under Ground Libraries make sense. Under Ground Movie Theaters are called living rooms.

3. If you read the book, try to guess what happened to the Golden Carp.

2. I knew I wasn't crazy. The Lunas and the Mares DO look like my tios and tias.

1. Now that Bless Me, Utlima is a book can you say "Prequal"?
